Helm Dental Laboratory in Wylie Texas is owned and operated by Kurtis Helm, CDT, and has been providing high quality restorations for over 32 years!
Our full-service laboratory is proud that every product we provide is manufactured in the USA. Our technicians are dedicated to combining the latest technology with artistry to provide fixed or removable prosthetics that you’ll be proud to place in your patient’s mouth. At the Forefront of Digital Technology
We utilize innovative digital manufacturing methods, including optical scanning of case materials, digital milling of crowns and frameworks, plus 3D printing of dentures, copings, temps and models. Our lab accepts intraoral scans from any intraoral platform. Helm is one of the top producers in North Texas of all kinds of implant retained or implant supported restorations, especially Screw-Retained Dentures and Conus/Fixed-Removable Dentures. We can provide assistance with guided surgery cases from the CT scan to case planning and all the way through chairside assistance upon request.
Helm Dental Laboratory is registered in the state of Texas and is a member of the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL) and the Dental Lab Association of Texas (DLAT). We are also a Certified Zirlux Laboratory, a NobelBiocare Diamond Lab, a Henry Schein Prosthetic Network Lab, a Dentsply Sirona SuperElite Dental Laboratory, and a Pala Digital Denture Partner Lab. Kurtis Helm, CDT recently joined the Carbon Oral Health Leadership Council and is a member of the Dentsply Sirona PEERS group which advises Dentsply Sirona on product development.

Kurtis Helm, CDT
President and Owner of Helm Dental Laboratory LLC
Mr. Helm attended Texas A&M University and received a degree in Biochemistry. After serving five years in the United States Air Force as a Dental Laboratory Technical Trainer, he moved back to Texas to open his lab in 1993. Mr. Helm is a certified dental technician in ceramics and removable dentures, studying extensively at institutions such as LVI and Pankey.
With a stellar professional background spanning 30 years in the dental laboratory profession, Helm has proven his expertise and dedication to staying abreast of the latest advancements. In addition to earning the Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation in 1994, his educational contributions are extensive, encompassing various areas of dental laboratory technology and active participation in continuing education.
Helm's commitment extends beyond his laboratory, evident in his involvement with prestigious organizations and councils, such as Dentsply Sirona PEERS, Carbon Oral Health Leadership Council, Straumann Pinnacle Alliance Excellence, and many more. In the realm of com- munity service, he engages in initiatives like Dentistry from the Heart and Wounded Warriors. Helm Dental Laboratory was also a Platinum Sponsor in the Foundation Race for the Future in 2022 and again in 2023.
Ever the consummate educator, Helm has given countless presentations across the country, presenting at national meetings, study clubs, hosting lunch & learns, and more. He has also published articles in industry journals including the Journal of Dental Technology and IDT magazines.
